Jones Aviator
Price: £440

The Aviator is aimed at those riders who are looking for a performance snowboard that has the ability to blend freestyle agility with all mountain power to create a versatile board that can handle big park lines but which can also hold its own against more freeride-focused boards.

Built around an all-new directional twin shape, it features an updated CamRock profile which adds a little rocker at the contact points. This ensures that the Aviator delivers great performance in whatever terrain you ride, floaty at the nose, powerful under the feet and rock solid on landings.

For 2017 Jones has also added its new Spoon Profile at the tip and tail. This state-of-the-art 3D base shape not only gives the board that extra bit of float, but it also makes turn initiation and exit smoother as the board now rolls into the contact points. Match this with the mellow Magne Traction sidecut and the traditional camber through the length and you get totally stunning performance when blasting the piste, ensuring that the Aviator is a cut above most other boards in this class.

Internally Jones has totally redeveloped the Aviator. In comes the new superlight Power Core, this combines triple density poplar with lightweight Paulownia to create a durable, feather light foundation. Now by adding additional bamboo stringers they’ve also given it a really poppy flex through the length which ups power and control and really brings the board alive. This power is then further enhanced with the addition of the 45° Tri-Ax Carbon Glass. This advanced multilayer glass is meshed with carbon fibre power bands and additional layers of glass in the nose and tail to deliver a responsive and dynamic ride that enables the rider to really get the most from the board, no matter how hard or fast they ride.

To maximise the speed, Jones utilise a 9900 sintered base. This is one of the toughest and fastest base materials available and finishes off this truly stunning snowboard.
