Giulia Giannola is an Italian artist born in 1985, in Naples. After finishing her Bachelor degree in Venice at the IUAV University, she moves to Berlin where she graduated as Meisterschülerin in Installation and Multimedia at the Universität der Künste (UdK), with Prof. Christiane Möbus and was guest student in artist Candice Breitz class at HBK Braunschweig.
Her works draw inspiration from the observation of everyday situations of collective or personal life, which are transformed into performances, interventions in public space, and videos. Time factors such as duration and rhythm, are called into question, twisted and transformed.
She received the Elsa-Neumann-Stipendium des Landes Berlin in 2014.
